The DIH Academy is a five-day event divided into two segments: the first taking place in Zurich, Switzerland, from 21st to 24th September, and the second in Antwerp, Belgium, from 25th to 26th September. We highly recommend joining the full 5-day program. Alternatively, it is also possible to attend only one of the two segments.

REHAKLINIK ZIHLSCHLACHT
The Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht, a DIH Center of Excellence, specializes in the treatment of brain and nerve-injured patients. For 30 years, the rehabilitation hospital and its employees have been focusing exclusively on the treatment and recovery of stroke, brain injuries, and diseases. An interdisciplinary team of experienced neurorehabilitation specialists supports the patients over the entire time of their rehabilitation. As one of the leading speciality rehabilitation hospitals for neurological rehabilitation, the Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht implements the most innovative therapeutic approaches and technologies, highly intensive and individualized therapy programs provided by experienced rehab professionals in interdisciplinary teams, strong partnerships, and professional networks.
KLINIKEN VALENS
The Valens Rehabilitation Center, a DIH Center of Excellence, is an inpatient rehabilitation center, part of the Kliniken Valens group, together with 11 other centers across Switzerland. Kliniken Valens group is recognized as pioneers and opinion-formers in the Swiss rehabilitation field. Since 2003, the Valens Rehab Center has implemented robotics and technology for rehabilitation and has been an innovator in the intelligent clinical integration of technology, therapy planning, and development of clinical protocols.
HASSELT UNIVERSITY – MOVELAB
For over 15 years, Hasselt University (UHasselt) has been at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technology into rehabilitation sciences. With the recent inauguration of its state-of-the-art MOVElab, the REVAL Research department continues to push the boundaries of research and clinical application. This unique facility is equipped with a CAREN High-End system, featuring a dynamic motion platform and an array of infrared cameras, enabling precise analysis of human movement in lifelike virtual environments. As the only lab of its kind on the European mainland—and one of just ten worldwide—MOVElab serves a diverse range of individuals, from elderly patients at risk of falls to elite athletes seeking performance optimization. By simulating real-world challenges and meticulously capturing responses, UHasselt is pioneering new rehabilitation techniques and fostering collaborations that bridge academia, healthcare, and industry.
TRAINM ANTWERP
TRAINM Clinics, a DIH Center of Excellence, is an outpatient neurorehabilitation clinic group, with locations in Amsterdam, Antwerp and Ghent-South, treating children and adults with a broad range of neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy, stroke, acquired brain injury, MS, Parkinson’s, spinal cord injury and disorders of consciousness. TRAINM Clinics maximizes patient recoveries by offering intensive neurorehabilitation programs by a multidisciplinary team of medical doctors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, neuropsychologists and speech therapists. TRAINM Clinics offers its patients personalized neurorehabilitation programs using the latest scientifically proven technologies, such as robotics, gaming, VR and non-invasive neuromodulation.
GHENT UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL
Ghent University Hospital (UZ Ghent) is one of the largest and most specialized healthcare providers in Belgium. It stands out for its optimum clinical patient care. Patient care, teaching, scientific research, and providing services to the population are the main tasks of the hospital. Through the combined action of these tasks and the close-knit cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Ghent university, the hospital can provide a wide range of high-quality primary and specialized care, nationally as well as internationally. Innovation is one of their six strategic objectives. In supporting innovation and research, the Fund for Innovation and Clinical Research supported the establishment of Smart Space | UZ Ghent. Smart Space is a platform that aims to bring rehabilitation technology closer to patients and healthcare workers in the hospital, specifically in the rehabilitation center.

- Participation fee:
- Full 5-day program (Switzerland & Belgium) – 21st to 26th September | 1800 CHF (approx. 1900 EUR or 2300 $)
- Swiss section – 21st to 24th September | 1200 CHFs (approx. 1300 EUR or 1500 $)
- Belgium section – 25th to 26th September | 800 CHFs (approx. 850 EUR or 1000 $)
Payment must be done in CHFs. Conversion rates are approximated.
Please note that flights to and from Zurich or Brussels, travel between the two cities, and accommodation are not included.
- Important: There are limited places, so please wait before booking your flight or making any other arrangements until we send you a written confirmation of acceptance. Your place will be secured only after we receive the payment of the invoice. Cancellation and refunds are not possible after the invoice has been paid.
